Hannah Garson
Hannah Garson recently joined Alphapsy Clinical Services as an intern. She is acquiring experience by participating in clinical psychology meetings and discussions with the Alphapsy team. Furthermore, she contributes to the social media pages and provides her input on the clinic’s website.
Hannah is studying for her Master’s degree in counselling psychology at Yorkville University and is expected to graduate in the fall of 2024. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Concordia University in December 2021. Hannah has been working as a gymnastics coach since 2013 and she loves sharing her passion for the sport with the youth. She is also a pet sitter and has a great love for all animals. Hannah has four years of experience volunteering with children, teens and young adults with special needs. She also has experience volunteering with vulnerable populations to address hunger and food insecurity. This has allowed her to gain valuable skills and bring a positive change in our community.
When Hannah finishes the theoretical portion of her studies, she will do her practicuum at Alphapsy. She wishes to become a psychologist in the future and is motivated to use her empathetic and listening skills to work towards meeting her client’s goals in a safe environment.
Roger Marcaurelle
Dr. Roger Marcaurelle is a collaborator and advisor on the clinical intervention models proposed by AlphaPsy. He holds a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in psychology from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). His doctoral thesis focused on interpersonal communication techniques. He is a member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec since 2000. He has been in full time private practice in the northern crown of Montreal since 2001 and is an associate professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal.
Gilles Dupuis
Gilles Dupuis Ph.D. Gilles Dupuis is the scientific advisor of AlphaPsy and provides expertise on new research supporting third wave interventions in psychology (CBT/Mindfulness etc.). He is a full professor in the Department of Psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal. He has taught research and quantitative methods for over 20 years. For the past few years, he has been giving a specialized seminar to doctoral students on yoga and its usefulness for mental and physical health problems. He has also worked in the field of quality of life and quality of work life for almost 30 years, and is the author of the ISQV© and co-author of the ISQVT©.
Susan Frederick
Susan Frederick is a therapeutic yoga teacher with experience in both research and teaching. Her classes are based on Dr. Madan Bali's yoga method which has been validated in health psychology research at the University of Quebec in Montreal.
